Please read the below agreement prior to your Electric Vehicle (EV) Test Drive.

If you have any concerns regarding this agreement or are unable to meet the requirements of completing a test drive, please do not commit to this offer.

1. Where two or more customers are agreeing to this declaration, references to “INSIDE EDGE Novated Leasing” “I”, “borrower”, “me” and “my” shall be read as  “InsideEDGE” we”, “borrowers” “us” and “our”.
2. InsideEDGE shall supply the Vehicle at the commencement of the Loan Period in a roadworthy condition.
3. The EV test drive campaign will offer an eligible employee interested in a novated lease, the opportunity to take an EV for 2 nights mid-week, or three nights over a weekend, collecting and dropping off the vehicle between the stipulated times in point 4.
4. Pick-up and drop-off is from our South Melbourne office located at Level 2/25 Palmerston Crescent, South Melbourne Pick-up times are between 4:00-5:00 pm only, at your agreed appointment time and drop-off is between 8:00-9:00 am only. No alternative arrangements or locations may be allowed.
5. One two-night or weekend booking per person is allowed.
6. The borrower will take full responsibility for any and all charges or fines incurred by me during the period of the test drive, including all speed camera fines, red light camera fines, parking infringement notices, speeding fines and any other infringement of which I might be liable under the Land Transport Act 1998 and associated regulations.
7. The borrower accepts responsibility for the first $1,500.00 (or $1,850.00 for drivers under the age of 25 years) for damage sustained to the vehicle should it suffer an accident while in my possession.
8. If the vehicle is damaged while in my possession and I or the driver are found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or found guilty of driving in either a dangerous, culpable or negligent manner, the borrower will be solely and wholly responsible for the total cost of repairs to the vehicle.
9. The borrower agrees that InsideEDGE will contact me to make an offer to me and/or to discuss the terms and conditions of any such offer relating to the vehicle that I drove or expressed interest in or any other vehicle that may meet my needs.
10. The borrower holds a current unencumbered driver’s licence and is authorised to drive motor vehicles including the type being tested.
11. The borrower is not disqualified from driving nor obtaining a driver’s licence. The borrower’s driver’s licence is not, at the time of agreeing to this declaration, suspended or revoked.
12. The borrower warrants that any other person who may drive the vehicle while it is in my possession satisfies the provisions of clauses 10 and 11 above.
13. Privacy: I acknowledge that I can contact InsideEDGE Novated Leasing at any time and ask not to be contacted or update my contact preferences.
14. To the greatest extent permitted by law, InsideEDGE  nor any related company or associated person or party will be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including, but not limited to, consequential loss) as a result of the test drive, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. A scanned copy of your driver’s licence must also be emailed to Tracy.Allan@iedge.com.au at the time of booking to be successful. Once the licence has been sighted, no details will be saved on our system for your security.
16. The Borrower shall ensure that the Vehicle is only driven for the purpose of conducting a road test.
17. The Borrower shall not lend, sell or encumber the Vehicle to any person for any purpose whatsoever, except as provided in this Agreement.
18. The Borrower shall not allow any person to drive the Vehicle other than the persons named on the booking or otherwise authorised in writing by InsideEDGE.
19. InsideEDGE may require at any time the immediate return of the Vehicle by the Borrower.
20. At the end of the Loan Period or earlier if required by InsideEDGE in accordance with clause 19, the Borrower shall return the Vehicle to InsideEDGE, or to InsideEDGE’s nominated representative, and the Vehicle shall be deemed returned on InsideEDGE’s nominated representative acknowledging the return of the vehicle. The vehicle shall be returned in the same condition as the Vehicle was provided, subject to reasonable wear and tear.
21. InsideEDGE shall, at its cost, maintain compulsory third-party insurance and comprehensive motor vehicle insurance in respect of the Vehicle during the Loan Period covering all Permitted Drivers (Insurance Policy). Any liability on the part of InsideEDGE exceeding the scope of the Insurance Policy is excluded.

1. The Borrower and any permitted driver shall not use the Vehicle in any manner that breaches any term or condition of the Insurance Policy.
2. If the Vehicle is involved in an accident or damaged in any way or is stolen, the Borrower shall immediately notify InsideEDGE by contacting the InsideEDGE contact and immediately provide all relevant details in writing.
3. Repairs to the Vehicle are not to be undertaken without the written consent of InsideEDGE or its appointed assessor. No modifications are to be made to the Vehicle without the prior written approval of InsideEDGE.
4. The Borrower shall ensure that the Vehicle is not:

(a) driven by any person under the influence of any drug or intoxicating substance or in whose blood there is a percentage of alcohol in excess of the legal limit in the place where the Vehicle is being driven.

(b) driven by any person incapable of driving the Vehicle for any reason.

(c) driven if the Vehicle is in an unroadworthy condition.

(d) driven on any unsealed road (excluding roads subject to roadworks), without InsideEDGE’s prior written consent.

(e) used for any race, contest or illegal purpose.

(f) used to convey passengers or goods for hire or renewal.

(g) used for any purpose other than for which the Vehicle is designed.

(h) used in excess of specified operating limitations.

(i) used to convey any load other than that for which the Vehicle was constructed or to tow any other vehicle or other item; and

(j) used to transport flammable or hazardous goods.

5. The Borrower acknowledges that InsideEDGE’s Insurance Policy may not cover any liability resulting from a breach of this clause.

6. The Borrower shall comply and shall ensure that the Permitted Drivers comply with all applicable laws, regulations, by-laws, ordinances and road rules.

7. The Borrower shall indemnify InsideEDGE for all liabilities, claims, damages, losses and expenses it suffers or incurs as a result of: any breach of this Agreement by the Borrower or any Permitted Driver; and any negligence or willful act or omission of the Borrower or any Permitted Driver, except to the extent that any liability, claim, damage, loss or expense is caused by the negligence of InsideEDGE.

8. Without limiting the Borrower’s liability, if any damage or loss is caused to or by the Vehicle during the Loan Period which, in the reasonable opinion of InsideEDGE, was caused or contributed to by the Borrower or Permitted Driver, the Borrower shall reimburse InsideEDGE on demand the amount being the lesser of InsideEDGE’s insurance excess of $1,500 and the actual repair costs.

9. The Borrower agrees that InsideEDGE is not liable for any direct or indirect damage, loss or expense arising from the Borrower’s or any Permitted Driver’s use of the Vehicle howsoever caused while the Vehicle is in the custody of the Borrower or any Permitted Driver, except to the extent caused by a breach by InsideEDGE, and the Borrower releases InsideEDGE from any claim for such damage, loss or expense.

10. This Agreement may only be altered in writing signed by each party.

11. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties as to its subject matter and supersedes all prior representations and agreements in connection with that subject matter.

12. If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court or any governmental agency or authority to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall nevertheless remain legal, valid and enforceable.

13. Failure or delay by either party to exercise or enforce any right or benefit conferred by this Agreement, shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such right or benefit nor operate so as to bar the exercise or enforcement thereof or of any other right or benefit on any later occasion.

14. This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in Victoria.By making a booking below, you automatically acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions stated above.
